TRFJ2024 The Tradition Continues
Making memories … On a beautiful fall morning, we welcomed 200 volunteers and 600 runners, walkers, families and friends to Ackerman Park for the 21st Annual This Run’s for Jack. Tradition abound, as the children who were once pushed in strollers on the 5k course are now forming the “teams” to carry on the tradition started many years ago – Amy’s Team, Team Lydia, Green Team, Team JB, Brian’s Team, Tim’s Team. Additionally, Jack’s Marathon Team also welcomed TRFJ past participants who ran their first 5k as 3rd graders. What’s more, we watch and wait as the first place TRFJ medal is about to be relinquished from Father to Son (perhaps next year). It truly is exciting to watch one generation pass on the TRFJ values to the next.
